GTA 6 Official Update: India Price, Launch Timeline, Map & Main Characters Inside

Rockstar Games released the second trailer of GTA 6 recently, and it is exactly what fans were eagerly anticipating. The Hollywood Reporter reported that Rockstar Games announced in a statement that the trailer had been viewed over 475,000,000 times across multiple platforms.

The first trailer released in 2023 received approximately 93 millions views within a similar timeframe. The original trailer, which was released exclusively on YouTube at the time, achieved the title of most-viewed debut non-musical video.

The next title in the series has been anticipated by fans for over ten years. According to industry specialists the game will achieve massive success upon its launch. Since its launch in 2013 Grand Theft Auto V has sold over 200 million copies establishing itself as one of the most successful videogames of all time. The game's $8 billion earnings since its release demonstrate how popular and influential it has been.

GTA 6 revolves around two main characters, Jason and Lucia. The second trailer describes the story as following the two characters as they navigate through GTA 6 map after a failed heist. The story unfolds in Leonida, a fictional state based on Florida, where the duo find themselves caught up in a criminal conspiracy. Jason and Lucia are forced to rely on each other more than ever as they try to survive this treacherous, sun-soaked environment.

The game will also feature many new GTA 6 characters, in addition to Jason and Lucia. Boobie, Ike, Brian Heder and Cal Hampton are among the names confirmed.

The base version of GTA 6 will likely retail at about Rs 5,999 when released in India. Special editions of GTA 6 will likely start at Rs 7,299 and could reach even higher pricing levels. The global price for the game could reach $100 which amounts to almost Rs 9,000.

Rockstar has officially revealed the GTA 6 launch date as May 26, 2026, finally satisfying fans who have awaited the game for many years.
