GeForce RTX 50 super series refresh tipped to feature major VRAM upgrades

Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 50 series may soon get a "Super" refresh, bringing with it much-needed VRAM upgrades, according to a new rumor from Chiphell. The leak specifically mentions two upcoming models: the GeForce RTX 5080 Super and RTX 5070 Super.
The GeForce RTX 5080 Super is rumored to be equipped with a massive 24 GB of VRAM, while the RTX 5070 Super will reportedly come with 18 GB — making it Nvidia’s first mainstream graphics card to offer that much memory. Speculation suggests the RTX 5080 Super could share a similar configuration to the RTX 5090 Laptop GPU, featuring the GB203 chip, and might even rival the desktop RTX 4090 in performance.
The RTX 5070 Super stands out for its impressive memory bump over the RTX 5070 Ti, offering gamers and creators more headroom for increasingly demanding applications.
However, enthusiasts eager to upgrade will need to be patient. Nvidia typically releases its mid-cycle refreshes about a year after the initial launch, meaning these Super variants likely won't hit the market until sometime next year. Still, as VRAM demands continue to rise, these upcoming GPUs could be a timely and much-welcomed addition to Nvidia's lineup.
