Samsung has introduced its Galaxy Z Fold 7 in India, entering direct competition with Google’s Pixel 9 Pro Fold. Both foldables represent their respective brands' latest innovation, but which one delivers more for Indian users?
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 features a slim profile, measuring 8.9 mm when folded and 4.2 mm when open. It weighs 215 grams. Google’s Pixel 9 Pro Fold is bulkier, at 10.5 mm when folded and 5.1 mm when open, with a 257-gram weight. While both devices offer water resistance, Samsung includes dust protection with IP68 certification. Pixel carries an IPX8 rating.
The Z Fold 7 sports an 8-inch LTPO AMOLED inner panel with 2,600 nits brightness and a 6.5-inch outer display, both offering 120Hz refresh rate. Pixel 9 Pro Fold also has an 8-inch LTPO OLED inner screen and a 6.3-inch outer display, both capable of 2,700 nits peak brightness and 120Hz refresh rate.

Google offers a 4,650 mAh battery, while Samsung provides a 4,400 mAh unit. Both support fast charging. Each model includes a side-mounted fingerprint reader and face unlock.
Galaxy Z Fold 7 pricing starts at Rs 1,74,999 for the 256GB model, extending to Rs 2,10,999 for higher variants. The Pixel 9 Pro Fold launched at Rs 1,72,999 but is now available near Rs 1,62,000 post-discounts.
