The epoch of 2026 is a matter of a few days. Therefore, the talk around Samsung’s new flagship is getting louder and louder. The gossip in the market says the Korean company would reveal the Galaxy S26 series sometime at the beginning of the next year. The leaked info that is going around the supply chain has three models under the name— Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26 Plus and Galaxy S26 Ultra, making the latter the most powerful and thus the front-runner.
The Galaxy S26 Plus is the model that will hold the place of the standard version and the Ultra version, thus the middle one. This echoes a harmonious relationship of dimensions, features, and costs. While Samsung is closed about specifics, numerous reports give clues about what the Plus version might present.
The new Galaxy S26 Plus is said to have a thinner body than the current one. The sources tell about a reduction in thickness and weight, but at the same time, the overall design might resemble that of the previous Galaxy S models rather than going for a complete redesign.
As for the camera, the phone is likely to sport a triple rear camera setup. One of the cameras would be the main 50-megapixel sensor, while the two others would be a 12-megapixel telephoto and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide. To complete the camera set, a 32-megapixel sensor could be used for the front-facing camera to capture selfies and make video calls.
It is anticipated that the display will be an AMOLED of 6.7 inches diagonal with a refresh rate of 120Hz, which is in line with Samsung's commitment to providing smooth visuals. The Galaxy S26 Plus is expected to be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. The configuration for memory and storage may begin with 12GB of RAM coupled with 256GB of internal storage.
The device is likely to be equipped with a 5,500mAh battery, and there are indications that it would come with 45W fast charging support. If this turns out to be true, then the Plus variant will be among the largest battery options in Samsung's premium range.
The next-generation Galaxy S26 series is speculated to be unveiled in the first half of 2026. Leaks suggest a release period of around late January or the first week of February, while other sources mention a delay till the end of February.
In India, the successor to the Galaxy S26 Plus is speculated to be priced around ₹95,000 to ₹1,05,999depending on the configuration offered. Samsung has not released any official information regarding launch dates or prices, and the company generally keeps final specifications secret until the actual event.
Until the company makes formal announcements, all the information will rely on leaks and unofficial reports. Consumers are recommended to await confirmation from Samsung before taking any purchasing decisions.
