Samsung has begun rolling out its One UI 8 software update to Galaxy S25 smartphones worldwide, expanding availability beyond its home market of South Korea.
The company had previously announced that the stable release would arrive in September. South Korea was the first to receive it on September 15, where only beta testers were initially granted access. The update has since moved into broader distribution, reaching users in multiple regions that were not part of the beta program.
Owners of Galaxy S25 devices can manually check for the software by opening Settings > Software update > Download and install. The rollout is expected to continue gradually, covering more countries in the coming weeks.
Samsung has confirmed that other eligible models will also be upgraded. Flagship phones launched in 2024 are next in line, though some markets may not see the update until October.
One UI 8, built on Android 16, focuses on system refinements rather than a major redesign. New tools include AI-powered improvements and feature enhancements aimed at strengthening the overall user experience.
Samsung has not detailed the complete release timeline for all regions, but the phased approach suggests a steady expansion throughout the rest of the month.
