Galaxy S25 FE, Tri-Fold Phone, XR Headset: What’s Coming

Samsung has announced its product pipeline for the latter half of 2025 during the Q2 earnings report. The company confirmed the early arrival of the Galaxy S25 FE, along with launches scheduled for a tri-fold smartphone, an extended reality (XR) headset, and multiple additions to its tablet and budget smartphone segments.

Samsung’s Mobile Experience VP, Daniel Araujo, stated during the financial call that the Galaxy S25 FE will be introduced earlier than the Galaxy S24 FE, which launched in late September 2024. This places the expected rollout for the new Fan Edition smartphone in August or early September.

The S25 FE is anticipated to be powered by the Exynos 2400 chipset and will offer 8GB RAM with storage configurations up to 256GB. The smartphone will ship with One UI 8 and may carry a 4,900mAh battery. Camera hardware includes a triple 50MP setup at the rear and a 12MP front sensor. Potential color variants include icy blue, jet black, navy, and white.

Samsung also confirmed upcoming entries in foldable and immersive tech segments. The tri-fold phone, likely named Galaxy Z TriFold, is targeted for an October release. This aligns with internal development that previously surfaced under the codename "Samsung G Fold."

The XR headset, internally dubbed Project Moohan, will be equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2 chip. Its launch is also expected in the latter half of the year.

Samsung intends to grow its Galaxy A series portfolio by adding new 5G models, including the Galaxy A17 5G and Galaxy A07, both of which have surfaced in recent regulatory filings. In the tablet category, Samsung is set to introduce the Galaxy Tab S11 lineup during the same release window.
