Galaxy F55 One UI 8 Update Live in India: Android 16 Download Available

Samsung has began to deliver its One UI 8 update based on Android 16 to the Galaxy F55 in India. This is the second case of major OS upgrade for the F55 since its mid-2024 launch, as it is already among the Galaxy F15, Galaxy M55, and Galaxy M55s, the previous release of the same.
The update is marked with a firmware version E556BXXU4CYJ4 and has a weight of about 2.5GB for downloading. In addition to the Android 16 system, the monthly security patch for October 2025 is also included. Users have the option of installing the update by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install and clicking Install now after the download is done.
The Galaxy F55 had its debut with Android 14 (One UI 6.0). It has been updated to Android 15 (One UI 7.0) in the Spring, and now, with the ongoing rollout, the device is on Android 16 (One UI 8.0). Samsung has guaranteed four major Android updates for this device which means that during the course of two more coming upgrades, Android 17 and Android 18, the company could still be supported.
One UI 8 comes with a number of new features and improvements in the interface. Quick Share has a new full-screen layout along with separate tabs for sending and receiving files. Samsung Internet app has a new organized menu while Weather app has new graphics.
Modes and Routines app is now more powerful since it has been given more conditions and actions. Samsung Health has reported the addition of Bedtime Guidance and Running Coach features that make tracking one’s health easier. The Now Bar is one of the features that has been aligned with Android 16’s Live Updates whereby notifications from third party applications are displayed immediately.
The multitasking factor has been enhanced with the introduction of the 90:10 split-screen option thereby switching between apps has been made easier. Main applications like Calendar, Clock, and Reminder now come with more advanced tools for entering and managing data.
Among the other updates, the Phone app gets a new Profile Card interface, while the Camera app receives swipe gestures for quicker access to controls, and the Secure Folder gets additional security measures. The new One UI version has also brought about an improvement in Bluetooth Auracast-based audio.
The update is being released in phases, and it is recommended that users check their device’s software update settings for the availability of the update.
