Vivo has launched the Y400 Pro 5G in India, expanding its mid-range smartphone lineup ahead of the upcoming Vivo T4 Lite 5G release on June 24.

The Y400 Pro 5G enters the Indian market with two storage options: 128GB and 256GB, both featuring 8GB of RAM. Priced at Rs 24,999 and Rs 26,999 respectively, the device is available in three colors—Fest Gold, Nebula Purple, and Freestyle White. Customers can place pre-orders now, while official sales begin on June 27 via Vivo's website, Flipkart, Amazon, and retail outlets.

Early buyers can access up to 10 per cent cashback on select bank cards including SBI, DBS, IDFC FIRST, and Yes Bank. Additional launch benefits include two months of free access to 10 OTT platforms on a Jio Rs 1,199 prepaid plan, the TWS 3e ANC earbuds at Rs 1,499, a 20 per cent discount on the V-Shield screen protection plan, and a one-year extended warranty at no extra cost.

The Y400 Pro 5G is equipped with a 6.77-inch AMOLED screen that supports Full HD (2392x1080) resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 300Hz touch sampling rate, and a peak brightness of 4,500 nits. HDR playback support is included. The device offers biometric security through an in-display fingerprint scanner and facial recognition.

Powering the device is MediaTek's Dimensity 7300 chipset built on a 4nm process, combining four Cortex A78 cores at 2.5GHz and four Cortex A55 cores at 2.0GHz. Memory expansion of up to 8GB via virtual RAM is supported, but there is no SD card slot.

The battery capacity stands at 5,500mAh with 90W fast charging, allowing a full charge in approximately 53 minutes. Bypass charging is available to enhance thermal management during gaming.

Camera specifications include a 50MP Sony IMX882 main sensor paired with a 2MP depth camera on the rear. A 32MP front sensor handles selfies and video calls. Both front and back cameras support 4K video capture at 30fps and 1080p at 60fps.

On the software front, the Y400 Pro runs Funtouch OS 15 based on Android 15, with Vivo promising three years of Android updates and four years of security patches. Key AI features include Focus Mode, AI Recorder, AI Note Assist, Circle to Search, AI Document, AI Screen Translation, AI Live Text, and AI Super Link.

Connectivity options feature dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4, and USB Type-C. The phone also carries an IP65 rating for protection against dust and low-pressure water jets.

With this launch, Vivo aims to strengthen its position in India’s competitive mid-range segment before introducing the T4 Lite 5G in the coming days.
