Samsung might be gearing up to break new ground in smartphone innovation once again — and this time, with a price tag that rivals a Royal Enfield motorcycle.

According to multiple reports, the South Korean tech giant is preparing to launch its first-ever triple-folding smartphone, tentatively named the Samsung Z TriFold, before the end of 2025.

A New Era of Foldables: Samsung’s Boldest Design Yet

If rumors are accurate, the Z TriFold will mark Samsung’s entry into the trifold segment, a niche currently dominated by Huawei’s Mate XTs.

Early leaks suggest the phone could feature a 10-inch OLED inner display that folds twice — with both ends folding inward — creating a sleek tablet-to-smartphone transition. The outer cover screen, meanwhile, is expected to measure around 6.5 inches, offering a standard phone experience when folded.

Powering this futuristic design will reportedly be Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chipset, the company’s most advanced processor yet.

On the camera front, Samsung might borrow premium hardware from its Galaxy S25 Ultra, including a 200MP main sensor, ultrawide, and telephoto lenses.

Interestingly, the Z TriFold is rumored to house a triple-cell battery setup to optimize power management within its complex folding structure.

Global Launch Plans — Beyond Asia

Initially, leaks hinted that Samsung would limit the Z TriFold launch to China and South Korea, its primary innovation hubs. However, new reports from SamMobile suggest a wider international rollout, potentially including the UAE and other key global markets.

While India hasn’t been officially confirmed, Samsung’s growing focus on the premium smartphone segment in the country makes its inclusion highly likely.

Price Tag That Turns Heads

The Samsung Z TriFold could be priced around $3,000 (approximately ₹2.64 lakh) — a figure that makes it more expensive than several Royal Enfield motorcycles in India.

For context, Huawei’s Mate XTs starts at 17,999 yuan (around ₹2.22 lakh), positioning Samsung’s trifold as the most premium foldable on the market to date.

Expected Launch Timeline

The Z TriFold was initially expected to debut in September 2025, but Samsung reportedly delayed the launch event. Now, speculation points to an official unveiling by the end of this month — setting the stage for one of the most anticipated tech launches of the year.

If confirmed, the Samsung Z TriFold will not only redefine smartphone design but also push the boundaries of how much consumers are willing to pay for innovation.
