Samsung is gearing up for its annual Galaxy Unpacked event, anticipated to take place on July 10, where the tech giant is expected to introduce a fresh lineup of foldable smartphones and smartwatches. The event is likely to showcase the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, Z Flip 7 FE, and the Galaxy G Fold — a new tri-fold concept device — alongside the Galaxy Watch 8 and Watch 8 Classic.
Historically, Samsung has used its mid-year Unpacked events to launch foldables and wearables, and this year appears to continue the tradition, albeit with a broader product range.
Reports hint that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will feature a slimmer and lighter design compared to its predecessor, with enhanced durability. The Z Flip 7 is expected to arrive with a larger outer display and an Exynos chipset. Meanwhile, the Z Flip 7 FE could mark the debut of a Fan Edition foldable, aiming to bring Samsung's foldable experience to a wider audience.
The Galaxy G Fold — believed to be Samsung's first tri-fold smartphone — remains largely under wraps, with limited details available. It may receive a teaser or preview at the event, similar to how Samsung previously teased the S25 Edge.
According to German tech site WinFuture, the upcoming event will likely confirm the Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7, and Z Flip 7 FE. Speculation remains whether the Z Flip 7 FE will be launched alongside the Galaxy S25 FE in September or be announced now and shipped later.
Color options for the Z Fold 7 include silver, black, and blue. The Z Flip 7 is tipped to come in black, blue, and coral red — a shade also seen in the Galaxy S25. The Flip 7 is expected in 256GB and 512GB variants with 12GB RAM, while the Flip 7 FE may come in 128GB and 256GB storage variants, with black and white colorways.
On the smartwatch front, the Galaxy Watch 8 is rumored to be offered in grey and silver, available in 40mm and 44mm sizes. The Watch 8 Classic may be launched in black and white variants.
With a month to go, Samsung has yet to confirm any details officially, but expectations are high for new foldable form factors and extended smartwatch capabilities. More information is expected in the coming weeks leading to the July 10 reveal.
