Samsung Smart Fridges 2025: Now Recognize Family Members by Voice

Samsung is upgrading its Bespoke AI refrigerators with a powerful new feature multi-voice recognition, powered by the company’s Bixby assistant. This new functionality enables the fridge to identify individual family members by voice, offering a more personalized smart home experience.
Once your voice is recognized, the fridge’s smart display can instantly show your personal calendar, photo gallery, or even trigger an alarm on your phone perfect for when it’s misplaced. The system can also adjust its display to match accessibility settings such as grayscale or color inversion synced from your smartphone, providing additional support for visually impaired users.
Samsung is also introducing a new way to activate Bixby. In addition to voice commands and tapping the Bixby icon, users can now double-tap the screen (even when it's off) to wake the voice assistant. This gesture brings quicker access to features and enhances usability, especially since Bixby is no longer the default assistant on Samsung phones.
The new voice identification and double-tap features are rolling out now to Samsung’s 2025 Bespoke AI refrigerators with Family Hub. A broader rollout to models with smaller AI Home displays is expected later this year.
