The OnePlus Watch 3, initially delayed due to a printing error, is now officially available for purchase. While the smartwatch has launched in multiple regions, notable differences in pricing and promotional offers have emerged.
After its February unveiling, the OnePlus Watch 3 was slated for release later that month. However, a typographical issue on the device's underside prompted a delay. With that resolved, the wearable is now on sale but at a significantly higher cost for U.S. consumers.
On the OnePlus U.S. website, the smartwatch is listed at $499.99—approximately 50 per cent more than the original $329.99 launch price. OnePlus has yet to issue a formal explanation for the price adjustment. When approached by The Verge, a company spokesperson declined to provide additional details.
In contrast, buyers in the UK and European Union are receiving a more favorable deal. The watch retails for €299 in the EU (down from €349) and £269 in the UK (down from £319). Additionally, customers in these regions receive complimentary accessories, including options such as the Nord Buds 3 Pro, an extra strap, or a charging base. No similar promotions are available for U.S. buyers.
Though speculation ties the U.S. price hike to ongoing import tariffs, possibly those from previous trade policies, OnePlus has made no official statement linking the increase to geopolitical factors.
Despite its higher price, the OnePlus Watch 3 includes upgraded features like a more luminous display, extended five-day battery life, and expanded health tracking capabilities. It runs WearOS and is positioned as a premium smartwatch contender.
Meanwhile, the OnePlus Watch 2 remains an alternative for budget-conscious buyers. Priced at $209.99 on Amazon, the earlier model continues to offer competitive performance and WearOS support.
