With the official unveiling of Nothing Phone 3 scheduled for July 1, new visuals have surfaced online, stirring fresh speculation about the phone’s hardware and design overhaul.

In a recent post on X, tech leaker Max Jumbor shared what appears to be an early image of the upcoming smartphone. The image suggests a departure from Nothing’s hallmark design language — the Glyph Interface, a rear lighting setup that defined its predecessors, appears to be removed entirely. Unlike the Phone (1) and Phone (2), the latest image does not display any visible LED accents or rumored dot-matrix lighting.

The leaked image highlights a revised camera setup. The placement and styling suggest a hybrid of the Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Pro’s layout. The new arrangement hints at a consolidated design language that separates Phone 3 from earlier iterations.

Industry watchers note that the camera configuration could play a central role in Nothing’s hardware strategy this year, especially with competition tightening in the premium Android segment.

Though not officially confirmed, Phone 3 is widely believed to be powered by a Snapdragon 8-series chipset, offering a generational leap over the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 used in the previous model. This could bring noticeable performance enhancements, particularly in AI-backed features for imaging and device optimization.

Nothing OS 3.0 — based on Android 15 — is expected to ship with the device. Early reports suggest the software will include a simplified user interface, power efficiency improvements, and deeper integration of machine learning tools.

The display is rumored to be a 6.77-inch AMOLED panel supporting 120Hz refresh rate. Battery capacity is likely to be upgraded to 5,000mAh, allowing longer screen-on time and improved charging speeds.

Co-founder Carl Pei, during a segment on The Android Show: I/O Edition, hinted at a higher price point for the Phone 3. The expected cost in the UK is around GBP 800 — translating to approximately Rs 90,000. This marks a considerable increase over the Phone 2’s entry price of Rs 44,999 in India.

The pricing shift indicates a repositioning of the brand, as Nothing appears to target users seeking flagship-class hardware and software integration.

As the countdown to launch narrows, more details are expected to emerge. Nothing’s decision to strip down the Glyph Interface and double down on core specifications may reflect a broader vision to mature beyond visual gimmicks and prioritize functionality.

An official confirmation of specifications and pricing is likely to follow as the July 1 launch event approaches.
