The week ending June 13 brought a series of notable technology announcements across smartphones, wearables, and operating systems. Leading brands such as Vivo, Motorola, Lava, and Apple unveiled their latest products, targeting consumers across mid-range and flagship segments.
Vivo officially introduced the T4 Ultra in India, pricing it at Rs 37,999. The device operates on the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ chipset and is equipped with a 6.67-inch quad-curved AMOLED display. The handset is offered in Phoenix Gold and Meteor Grey, and will be available starting June 18 through Flipkart, Vivo India’s online store, and select offline retailers.
Motorola launched its Edge 60 smartphone at Rs 25,999. Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 processor, the phone comes with 12GB RAM and 265GB internal storage. It is available in two distinct Pantone color variants: Shamrock and Gibraltar Sea.
Indian manufacturer Lava expanded its wearable portfolio with the Prowatch Xtreme. Featuring a 1.43-inch AMOLED display (466x466 pixels, 326 PPI), it supports Always-On Display and 500 nits brightness. Buyers can choose among silicone (Rs 4,499), nylon (Rs 4,699), and metal (Rs 4,999) strap variants.
During the WWDC held from June 9–13, Apple announced a rebranding of its mobile OS, skipping several versions to name the update iOS 26. The OS features a redesigned interface and is currently available to developers.
Apple also revealed its new design language, called Liquid Glass, now live in iOS 26, iPadOS 26, macOS Tahoe 26, watchOS 26, and tvOS 26. iPadOS 26 introduces improved multitasking tools, making iPads more productivity-focused. macOS Tahoe 26 marks the final version to support Intel-based Macs, offering tighter iPhone integration and enhanced AI features.
Google is rolling out a new application called 'Pixel VIPs' to select Pixel users via the Play Store. The app serves as an upgraded interface for managing favorite contacts inside Google Contacts and is currently under limited testing.
