Indian smartphone maker Lava has introduced a new budget-oriented smartphone lineup dubbed the Bold Series, launching two devices — Bold N1 and Bold N1 Pro. Aimed at cost-conscious buyers, the smartphones will be sold exclusively via Amazon India, with sales commencing in early June.

The Bold N1 is priced at Rs 5,999 and will be available starting June 4. The slightly higher-spec Bold N1 Pro carries a launch price of Rs 6,699, factoring in a Rs 100 discount coupon, and will go on sale on June 2. Both models are part of Amazon’s "Amazon Specials" program.

The Bold N1 operates on Android 14 (Go edition), tailored for lower-end specifications. It features a 6.75-inch HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate, a 13MP dual rear camera setup, and a 5MP front-facing sensor. Under the hood is a Unisoc octa-core chipset paired with 4GB RAM and an additional 4GB of virtual RAM, 64GB of internal storage, and a 5,000mAh battery.

Key hardware also includes USB Type-C charging, a side-mounted fingerprint reader, and IP54-rated resistance to dust and water splashes.

In contrast, the Bold N1 Pro uses a full Android 14 version and is powered by a Unisoc T606 processor. This device has a 6.67-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Camera capabilities are upgraded to a 50MP triple rear camera array and an 8MP front sensor with screen flash. Storage doubles to 128GB and supports microSD expansion up to 256GB. Color options include Titanium Gold and Stealth Black. Fast charging is supported up to 18W, though only a 10W charger is included in the retail package.

Both devices are supported by Lava’s "Free Service-@Home" program, enabling users across India, including remote locations, to request home-based technical assistance. Service appointments can be scheduled via the company’s official website. This offering positions Lava to appeal to users who have limited access to traditional service centers.

Lava’s new Bold Series focuses on essential smartphone features, up-to-date Android software, and expanded service options. With aggressive pricing and online-only availability through Amazon, the company targets entry-level users and those upgrading from feature phones.
