iPhone 17 Series: What to Expect from Apple's Upcoming Launch

Apple is gearing up for the highly anticipated launch of its iPhone 17 series, expected to debut in September. As tech enthusiasts eagerly await, various leaks have provided insights into the upcoming models, revealing key updates in design, performance, and camera technology.
Apple maintained consistent pricing with last year's iPhone 16, where the base model was priced at $799 (approximately Rs 67,000) in the US. In India, the iPhone 16 started at Rs 79,900. With no significant price changes expected, the iPhone 17 series is likely to follow a similar pricing strategy, keeping it in the same price range as its predecessor.
Apple is poised to make substantial upgrades to the iPhone 17's camera system. The telephoto lens, which has remained at 12MP since the iPhone 16 Pro models, will see a significant upgrade. The iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max are rumored to feature a 48MP telephoto sensor, aligning with the advancements made to the main and ultra-wide lenses in earlier iPhone models.
In addition to the rear cameras, the front-facing camera will also receive an upgrade across the entire iPhone 17 lineup. All three models, including the iPhone 17, 17 Pro, and 17 Pro Max, are expected to feature a new 24MP front camera, replacing the 12MP TrueDepth sensor, promising better selfies and improved video call quality.
Apple is expected to introduce a new model in the iPhone 17 lineup, possibly dubbed the iPhone 17 Air. This device may be the thinnest iPhone ever released, adding a lightweight option to the series. Along with this, the standard iPhone 17 models could receive a 120Hz refresh rate, a notable upgrade over the current 60Hz displays.
In terms of display, Apple might slightly increase the size of the standard iPhone 17, from 6.1 inches to 6.3 inches. The Dynamic Island feature is also expected to return, with a more refined and compact design.
On the inside, the iPhone 17 models are likely to be powered by the new A19 chip. Built on a more advanced 3nm process, this chip promises enhanced performance and improved battery efficiency, elevating the overall user experience.
