iPhone 17 Series Launching Soon: Big Changes Coming to Pro Models
Apple plans to launch iPhone 17, Air, Pro, and Pro Max this September with new designs, camera upgrades, and pricing changes across regions.

Apple Inc. plans to introduce its next-generation iPhone 17 series in September, maintaining its annual release pattern for the flagship smartphone range. The lineup is expected to include four models: iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max.
Reports indicate Apple will discontinue the Plus variant, citing lower demand. The Pro models are set to receive a new camera layout and updated rear panel construction, setting them apart from earlier Pro editions.
Industry insiders say the iPhone 17 Pro versions will feature an aluminum camera bar spanning the device’s width instead of the standard square bump. The camera assembly will match the phone’s finish. The back panel on Pro models will combine aluminum and glass, replacing the previous three-dimensional glass module with a metal housing for the lenses.
The base iPhone 17 is expected to retain the design of its predecessor, with little change to its exterior. One possible revision is a larger display, rising from 6.1 inches to around 6.3 inches, aligning with the size of the current Pro screen.
On imaging, the iPhone 17 Pro is believed to add a 24-megapixel front camera and a 48-megapixel telephoto lens, improving detail and zoom range. The standard model may also upgrade its selfie camera to a 24-megapixel sensor and include a mechanical aperture feature for adjustable exposure.
The new models are likely to debut at an Apple event between Sept. 11 and Sept. 13, consistent with the company’s usual fall schedule.
Pricing forecasts suggest the entry-level iPhone 17 could start at about -$899 in the U.S. In India, the base price may be near Rs 89,900, while the top-tier Pro Max could reach $2,300 in the U.S. and AED 5,399 in Dubai.
