Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Pro Max later this year, likely in September. Ahead of the official announcement, multiple leaks have emerged online, pointing to a series of design and hardware modifications in the upcoming models.

The iPhone 17 Pro series is anticipated to include a revamped rear camera layout. According to early schematics, the camera sensors and associated components will be housed in a rectangular bump with rounded edges. While the triangular sensor alignment remains, the new module may include a contrasting finish and raised edges that distinguish it from previous designs.

Unlike its predecessor, the iPhone 17 Pro models may no longer feature a titanium body. Reports suggest that Apple will adopt an aluminum frame for the chassis. The rear design is likely to feature a mix of aluminum and glass materials, a shift from the earlier full-glass back panel seen in past models.

The upcoming iPhones are likely to include a larger battery, improving endurance over the current lineup. Additionally, Apple is expected to introduce its in-house Wi-Fi 7 chip, replacing the Broadcom solution used previously. This new chip is anticipated to provide faster speeds and more stable connections.

The Pro variants are rumored to run on the A19 Pro chipset, manufactured using TSMC's third-generation 3nm fabrication process. This transition is expected to enhance processing power and energy efficiency.

All iPhone 17 units are reported to receive an upgraded 24MP front camera. Furthermore, the Pro versions might come equipped with a 48MP telephoto lens and 8K video recording support, marking a significant jump in imaging capabilities.

Apple is likely to increase RAM in the Pro and Pro Max models to 12GB, up from 8GB in the previous generation. This enhancement aims to support improved multitasking and performance of AI-based features. Additionally, a vapor chamber cooling system could be introduced to help regulate device temperature during heavy workloads such as 4K video shooting.

The company has not confirmed any of these features, and official specifications are expected closer to the launch date. Still, these reported changes suggest Apple is preparing significant upgrades to its flagship lineup in 2025.
