Amazon India’s Great Summer Sale 2025 has introduced a significant price drop for the iPhone 15, now available at Rs 58,999. This price positions it below the recently launched iPhone 16e, which currently retails for Rs 59,999. The sale also includes additional discounts for customers using selected bank cards.
The iPhone 15, originally priced at Rs 69,900, now sees a substantial markdown. The model includes a 6.1-inch display and comes in five colors: black, pink, yellow, blue, and green. Retaining the external design language from previous generations, it features a notable camera upgrade — a 48MP primary sensor replacing the 12MP system found in earlier versions. This enhancement supports improved detail, especially in low-light conditions and portrait photography.
Powering the iPhone 15 is the A16 Bionic chip, a performance improvement over the A15 chip used in the iPhone 14 lineup. Apple states that the device delivers all-day battery backup, suitable for prolonged usage without frequent recharging.
Apple’s iPhone 16e brings newer features to the same screen size of 6.1 inches, this time with an OLED panel and the inclusion of the Action Button — a customizable replacement for the traditional mute switch. The model transitions to a USB-C port, following Apple’s broader hardware update.
Internally, the iPhone 16e runs on the A18 chip with a 6-core CPU and 4-core GPU, offering performance enhancements over previous processors. Its 16-core Neural Engine is optimized for artificial intelligence workloads, with Apple claiming it operates six times faster than its predecessor.
The iPhone 16e supports Apple Intelligence, which integrates AI-powered features like Genmoji and advanced writing tools. The camera system features a single 48MP rear sensor with capabilities such as Night Mode, HDR, and a 2x telephoto zoom. It captures images at 24MP by default, with an option to shoot in full 48MP resolution.
While the iPhone 16e includes updated internals and AI support, the iPhone 15 now offers a more economical choice with flagship-level performance and a premium camera setup.
