Samsung is preparing to introduce a series of new products, including the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, and the next generation of Galaxy Watch models. As part of this upcoming launch, Samsung is also rolling out the One UI 8 update for Galaxy Watch, promising a suite of advanced health monitoring features.
The beta version of One UI 8 is already live, giving users a preview of Samsung’s upcoming software overhaul. This update brings significant enhancements tailored to fitness and wellness tracking, as the company intensifies efforts to compete with Apple Watch in the health-tech segment.
One of the standout features of the One UI 8 update is the addition of "bedtime guidance." This tool analyzes users' sleep behavior and offers personalized recommendations to improve rest quality. Another key upgrade is the new vascular load tracking, designed to detect unusual stress patterns during sleep, offering deeper insights into nightly recovery and cardiovascular stress.
Samsung is revamping its fitness coaching experience. The Galaxy Watch will now include an upgraded running coach that adapts to each user’s activity level. It provides actionable tips and pacing guidance to help users improve their endurance and performance.
The software will now evaluate how dietary habits, particularly fruit and vegetable intake, influence users' physical well-being. The update adjusts recommendations based on individual health metrics like age and activity levels, supporting a more personalized health plan.
These new features will be standard in the upcoming Galaxy Watch 8 series and the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2. Existing Galaxy Watch models are expected to receive the One UI 8 update shortly after the product launch event.
Alongside the smartwatch updates, Samsung is anticipated to introduce its tri-fold display prototype, further expanding its foldable device lineup.
