Chipset for CMF Phone 2 Pro Confirmed – Is the Phone 2 Launch Around the Corner?

The launch of the CMF Phone 2 Pro has not been scheduled for April 28 at 6.30 pm IST. Multiple leaks and promotional materials have already exposed numerous details regarding the Phone 2 Pro. Information remains absent about whether Nothing will introduce a standard CMF Phone 2 alongside its Pro version. In last year’s product launches we only saw a CMF 1 device without any Pro model. The presence of a Pro version indicates there should also be a standard version.

Nothing officially confirmed the CMF Phone 2 Pro will operate with the Dimensity CMF Phone 2 Pro Chipset from MediaTek Chipset. The company states that the CMF Phone 2 pro chipset specifications will deliver a 10 per cent faster CPU and up to 5 per cent enhanced graphics performance compared to the CMF Phone 1. The Phone 2 Pro will deliver superior gaming performance in its category by providing 120fps on BGMI and supporting more than 53 per cent network boost with a 1,000Hz touch sampling rate.

Akis Evangelidis from Nothing India confirmed last week that customers will receive a charger when they purchase the Nothing Phone 2 Pro and possibly the Nothing Phone 2 as well. The last few years have seen manufacturers stop including charging adapters with devices as standard practice. Apple and Samsung initiated this trend while later brands such as Nothing joined the movement.

The Nothing Phone 2 Pro price should stay below Rs 20,000 as shown by the CMF Phone 1. The introductory price of Rs 15,999 for the base variant of CMF Phone 1 with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage in India will probably set the pricing benchmark for CMF Phone 2. Despite expected enhancements in the Pro model leading to a potential price increase the phone should stay below Rs 20,000 to maintain a noticeable price gap from the Nothing Phone 3a which remains in the next higher category.
