Apple iPhone 17 Series to Launch in September 2025: India Prices, Specs & Features Revealed

Apple is gearing up to launch its iPhone 17 series—including the standard iPhone 17, slimmer 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and Pro Max variants—in early–mid September 2025, with official announcements expected between September 8–12, likely on September 9 or 10, just after U.S. Labor Day.

All four models are said to feature 120 Hz LTPO ProMotion OLED displays, bigger than previous models, ranging from 6.3 inches on the base and Pro variants up to 6.9 inches for the Pro Max. The lineup introduces Apple’s A19 chipset across the board—the base and Air models in standard A19, while Pro variants will include the more powerful A19 Pro.

The camera system will see significant upgrades: a 24 MP front-facing camera across all models and 48 MP rear cameras, with the Pro Max expected to include a triple‑lens setup capable of 8K video recording. Additionally, the Pro variants may debut a new horizontal camera bar design and return to aluminium frames throughout the lineup.

Battery improvements are rumored, with the Pro Max housing a ~5,000 mAh battery—around 10% larger than its predecessor—potentially offering up to 35 hours of usage. RAM configurations are expected to start at 8 GB (base/air) and go up to 12 GB on Pro variants. Also anticipated: Wi‑Fi 7 support, MagSafe charging upgrades, and new colour finishes (e.g. copper‑orange)

Prices are expected to reflect global tariffs and higher production costs, potentially increasing Rs 5,000–10,000 from current models. Apple’s usual pre-order launch is mid-to-late September, with retail availability in India from around the third week of September.
