In a major push to attract more subscribers, Bharti Airtel has rolled out free six-month Apple Music access for select prepaid customers in India. Previously, this offer was available only to postpaid and broadband users, but now prepaid customers can also take advantage of the premium streaming service at no additional cost.

Six Months Free Trial, Then Auto-Renewal

With this promotion, prepaid users can enjoy Apple Music’s ad-free streaming, curated playlists, and offline downloads free of charge for six months. Once the trial ends, the subscription will automatically renew at the standard price of ₹119 per month, unless the customer opts out.

This trial allows users who typically rely on ad-supported apps to experience premium features without upfront payment.

Who Is Eligible?

Airtel has not specified detailed eligibility criteria, but reports suggest that the offer isn’t restricted to specific recharge packs. Even users not subscribed to unlimited 5G data plans have spotted banners in the Airtel Thanks app offering free Apple Music access.

By extending the benefit, Airtel aims to make its prepaid packs more attractive while also helping Apple increase its subscriber base in India.

Airtel’s Growing Digital Ecosystem

This isn’t Airtel’s first bundle of premium digital services. The telecom giant already includes access to Netflix, Disney+ Hotstar, Zee5, and Airtel Xstream Play Premium with certain recharge packs. Recently, Airtel also partnered with Perplexity AI, offering prepaid customers complimentary access to its AI services.

The addition of Apple Music to its prepaid benefits underscores Airtel’s strategy of differentiating itself in India’s highly competitive telecom market.
