The Flipkart Big Billion Days (BBD) 2025 sale has hit a rough patch as reports emerge of iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro orders being cancelled hours after placement, leaving customers frustrated and calling the incident a “scam” on social media.

High Demand Amid Attractive Discounts

Flipkart offered the iPhone 16 (128GB) at Rs 51,999 and the iPhone 16 Pro (128GB) at Rs 69,999 during the sale. The deals were initially available for Flipkart Black and Plus members on September 22, before opening to all users on September 23. The steep discounts led to a surge in orders as customers rushed to grab Apple’s latest smartphones at lower prices.

Orders Cancelled Despite Successful Payments

Excitement turned to disappointment when many buyers discovered their orders were cancelled despite full payments. On X (formerly Twitter), users voiced their anger:

“I’ve placed 3 full-paid orders on Flipkart, only to have them rejected and cancelled within 4 hours. This feels like a scam!”

Affected users are now waiting for refunds. Flipkart has assured some that payments will be returned, but no clear timelines have been provided. Meanwhile, a few Plus members reported that their devices were shipped but delivery is still pending. This inconsistency has raised questions about the transparency of the sale and whether the advertised deals were genuine.
