Facebook is facing a global outage, with most reports coming from the US. Users complain of app failures, website errors, and login issues, while Meta remains silent.
Facebook suffers a global outage, with users reporting app crashes, website errors, and login failures.

Facebook, the massive social media platform owned by Meta, experienced an unexpected outage on Thursday that affected thousands of users globally, with the US accounting for the majority of complaints.
More than 350 people first reported problems with Facebook, according to Downdetector, a website that monitors service outages based on user reports. According to the complaint breakdown, 24% of complaints were about the website not loading, 22% were about login issues, and 53% were about the Facebook app.
According to reports, the problems started at 2:00 PM IST and got worse as the outage went on. The fact that there were more than 450 complaints at the time of writing suggests that the disruption may be spreading to additional users.
Users Around the World Respond with Laughter and Anger
Users resorted to other platforms, such as X (formerly Twitter), to verify the outage, share updates, and post memes as Facebook's services deteriorated. A user made a joke,
"I thought my Instagram and Facebook accounts were hacked when I saw this error, but then I realised that #Facebook is down overall."
Meta has not yet released an official statement.
As of right now, Meta has not clarified what caused the outage. Whether the disruption is the result of a server failure, technical glitch, or some other underlying problem is still unknown. Facebook services in India seem to be unaffected, despite issues being reported by users in the US and a few other regions.
As complaints continue to rise, users worldwide are still waiting for Meta’s official response and a possible fix.
