Bandai Namco and FromSoftware released the version 1.01 update for Elden Ring Nightreign on May 30, extending support to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, and PC via Steam.
According to an official patch note, the update enhances character controls, refines the in-game soundtrack, updates text displays and adjusts balance mechanics across key gameplay systems. It also unlocks additional story content for select characters and addresses a range of bugs that affected stability and performance.
On consoles and PC, players must download the update before launching the title. After installation, the title screen should show “App Ver. 1.01” and “Regulation Ver. 1.01.1.”
Elden Ring Nightreign users on PC encountering launch failures are advised to verify game files in Steam. Developers recommend right-clicking Elden Ring Nightreign in the Steam library, selecting Properties, then Installed Files, and choosing Verify Integrity of Game Files.
Performance issues on high-end GPUs have been reported following the 1.01 update. The patch note suggests reducing graphics quality from high to medium or low, lowering screen resolution and updating GPU drivers to the manufacturer’s latest release.
Bandai Namco and FromSoftware acknowledged the performance reports and said they are investigating the underlying causes. No timetable has been provided for a follow-up fix.
Players seeking further information or support can find the full patch details on the official Elden Ring website and the Bandai Namco support portal.
