India’s swift legislative move has forced a rapid pivot across the real-money gaming (RMG) industry. After the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Bill, 2025 passed both houses of Parliament, several leading platforms announced the suspension of their paid gaming features:
Dream11 (Dream Sports) has paused all “Pay to Play” contests on fantasy platforms such as Dream Picks and Dream Play. Users were reassured that their account balances remain safe and fully withdrawable. Further suspension of paid contests on Dream11’s flagship app is expected once the law is officially enacted.
MPL (Mobile Premier League) has suspended its RMG offerings. While new deposits are disabled, users can still withdraw their funds. The company emphasized its continued commitment to non-monetary gaming experiences.
Zupee has discontinued all paid game formats but will continue to offer its popular free-to-play titles such as Ludo Supreme, Snakes & Ladders, Ludo Turbo, and Trump Card Mania.
Gameskraft (RummyCulture) halted its “Add Cash” and paid gameplay services while ensuring that withdrawal functions remain intact.
Probo, an opinion-trading platform, has shut down its real-money gaming operations as a precautionary measure.
PokerBaazi, operated by Moonshine Technologies (partially owned by Nazara Tech), has ceased real-money offerings to stay compliant.
WinZO, another major player offering over 100 RMG titles, is likewise withdrawing its paid gaming services.
