Kojima Productions has finalized the release timing for its upcoming sequel, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, with a global rollout set to commence June 26, 2025. This follows a wave of leaks and speculation, including a recent leak of the game’s opening hour.
The game was initially unveiled during The Game Awards in December 2022. Since then, the studio has drip-fed information, confirming that players will reprise the role of Sam Porter Bridges in a new post-apocalyptic setting, reportedly inspired by Australia.
Players who purchase the Digital Deluxe or Collector's Edition will receive early access starting June 24, 2025. A countdown timer embedded in the early access version specifies a midnight launch (ET) on June 24, giving premium buyers a 48-hour head start.
