CMF Phone 2 Pro Launch Today: Here What We Know So Far

Nothing's CMF Phone 2 Pro is all set to launch today, April 28, in India. Quite a bit is already known about the upcoming mid-ranger from Nothing's sub-brand. Just before the phone launches, here's everything we already know about the CMF Phone 2 Pro and a few things to expect from Nothing's next-gen smartphone.

What to Expect

When it comes to design, the brand has already teased most of the CMF Phone 2 Pro’s aesthetics. The device will be available in two vibrant color options — the signature Orange and a new White variant, both featuring a dual-tone finish.

Departing from the previous model’s internal changeable panels, the Phone 2 Pro introduces a new universal cover system, secured with screws along the sides, and adds an extra camera sensor. Additionally, Nothing’s Akis Evangelidis confirmed that the Phone 2 Pro will be more durable than its predecessor.

On the display front, the CMF Phone 2 Pro is expected to sport a 6.7-inch flat screen, offering a 120Hz refresh rate, FHD+ resolution, and an optical in-display fingerprint scanner. It’s also likely to introduce the new Essential Key on the side, a feature inspired by the upcoming Nothing Phone 3a series.

Under the hood, the device is likely to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM and backed by a 5000mAh battery. This new processor is expected to deliver a significant performance boost, supporting features like 120 fps gameplay and a 1000 Hz touch sampling rate. The CMF Phone 2 Pro will likely run Nothing OS 3, based on Android 15.

For photography enthusiasts, the phone is rumored to feature a triple-camera setup, including a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom, and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. It is also expected to support video recording at up to 4K resolution.

Apart from these upgrades, the CMF Phone 2 Pro will also come with a charger in the box and a transparent phone case, making a big change of strategy considering the previous generation model.

In terms of pricing, the CMF Phone 2 Pro will likely be announced at under Rs. 20000 in India. However, expect the smartphone to be priced slightly higher than the CMF Phone 1 model, considering the upgrades and all the new additions in the retail box.

Another major highlight is that the CMF Phone 2 Pro will come bundled with a charger and a transparent phone case — a noticeable shift in strategy compared to the previous generation.

As for pricing, the CMF Phone 2 Pro is expected to launch under Rs 20,000 in India. However, given the upgrades and additional accessories, it may be priced slightly higher than the original CMF Phone 1.
