CMF by Nothing unveiled its latest range of wireless earbuds at a launch event in Delhi on April 28, 2025. The brand introduced three new models: Buds 2, Buds 2 Plus, and Buds 2a, catering to different price segments while offering notable upgrades over their predecessors.

These fresh additions to CMF’s audio portfolio bring a blend of enhanced sound quality, noise cancellation, and customization options, all at highly competitive price points.

CMF Buds 2 and Buds 2 Plus: Key Features

The CMF Buds 2 and Buds 2 Plus share several impressive features, with key differences in their audio technology. The Buds 2 uses an 11 mm PMI driver paired with Dirac Opteo sound optimization for a clear and balanced audio experience. Meanwhile, the Buds 2 Plus steps it up with a 12 mm LCP driver and Hi-Res LDAC codec, offering audiophile-grade sound reproduction.

Both models shine in noise cancellation. The Buds 2 features 48 dB Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), while the Buds 2 Plus takes it further with 50 dB Hybrid ANC and Smart Adaptive Mode, which adjusts to your environment.

Additional technology across both models includes Noise Reduction 3.0, Ultra Bass Technology 2.0 for enhanced bass, and six HD microphones with Clear Voice Technology 3.0. Wind Noise Reduction 3.0 ensures crisp, clear calls even in windy conditions.

When it comes to battery life, both models impress. The Buds 2 delivers up to 13.5 hours of playback with ANC off, or 55 hours with the charging case. The Buds 2 Plus offers 14 hours of continuous playback without ANC and an impressive 61.5 hours in total with the case. Both models come with an IP55 rating, making them resistant to dust and water splashes, ideal for workouts and outdoor activities.

CMF Buds 2a: Entry-Level Offering

The CMF Buds 2a is the entry-level model, offering essential features at an affordable price point. These earbuds come with a 2.4 mm Bio-fibre driver and Dirac Tuning, providing a solid audio experience. With 42 dB Active Noise Cancellation and Transparency Mode, the Buds 2a is a great option for everyday use.

The Buds 2a also features Ultra Bass Technology 2.0 and Clear Voice Technology with four high-definition microphones. Gamers will appreciate the low latency mode (110ms), which minimizes audio delay during gameplay.

Despite its lower price, the Buds 2a offers impressive battery life: up to 8 hours of playback without ANC and 35.5 hours with the charging case.
