Amid ongoing rumors about Apple’s upcoming flagship devices, luxury customization firm Caviar has opened pre-bookings for its premium editions of the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max. A prominent banner on Caviar's official website features a stylized render of the anticipated iPhone 17 Pro alongside a custom iPhone 16 Pro, giving viewers a visual reference to alleged design changes.
The advertisement appears to reinforce speculation regarding a new rear camera arrangement. Unlike the iPhone 16 Pro Max, where the LED flash and LiDAR sensor are positioned close to the camera cluster, the render indicates these elements will now be located along the device’s right edge. Additionally, the camera lenses appear smaller, suggesting a possible design revision.
While these visuals stem from Caviar and not directly from Apple, the depiction aligns with previous leaks about a redesigned back camera module shaped as a large rectangular island. Since Caviar offers handcrafted modifications on top of Apple's standard models, determining the base design’s authenticity remains speculative. Prices for these custom devices, like the Golden Rose edition, start at approximately $7,870.
In parallel with design speculation, notable hardware upgrades are anticipated. Apple is likely to incorporate a new vapour chamber (VC) cooling system in the iPhone 17 Pro series. This system would replace the existing graphite-based solution, offering enhanced thermal regulation — a feature already common in flagship Android phones. This upgrade supports the expected performance boost from Apple’s new A19 Pro chipset.
Camera improvements are also on the horizon. The iPhone 17 Pro models may include a revised triple-lens setup featuring a 48MP wide sensor, a 48MP ultrawide/macro hybrid, and a 48MP telephoto lens with up to 5x optical zoom.
These upgrades may push prices higher, especially in markets like India. Based on current trends, Indian buyers might face a price hike of at least Rs 10,000 compared to the iPhone 16 Pro series at launch.
