Activision has rolled out early access for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 to users who pre-ordered the title. The publisher confirmed that the early testing window is available until October 5 at 10:30 p.m. IST. The broader open beta for all players will begin on October 5 at the same time and continue through October 8.
The beta phase includes a range of multiplayer experiences and a short trial of the Zombies Survival mode. Treyarch, the game’s developer, stated that community feedback gathered in this period will be reviewed before the full release on November 14.
Players entering the beta gain access to three six-versus-six maps — Cortex, Exposure and The Forge. A Training Course is also present for testing movement systems and mechanics. Modes offered in this phase are Team Deathmatch, Hardcore Team Deathmatch, Domination, Hardcore Domination, Hardpoint and Kill Confirmed. Scorestreaks will be added during the ongoing beta period.
The Zombies Survival preview is scheduled for October 3 through October 7. Two days fall under early access, while the other two are available during the open beta. The build introduces features such as the Wisp Tea Perk-a-Cola, Fire Works Ammo Mod, Toxic Growth Field Upgrade, and movement abilities like Wall Jumps.
Treyarch confirmed that no Easter Eggs or Side Quests will be part of the beta. Some elements, including Wonder Weapons and certain launch-only Zombies content, remain exclusive to the final release. Beta GobbleGums — Round Off, Power Vacuum and Gift Card — are accessible but will not carry over to launch inventories. Players can progress without a round cap, while solo participants are provided with save-and-quit options.
The beta progression path spans Levels 1 through 20. Unlocks include weapons, equipment and Scorestreaks at various stages:
* Level 1: M15 Mod 0, Ryden 45K, Mk. 78, VS Recon, M10 Breacher, Jager 45, Flatline Mk. II melee
* Level 4: MXR-17
* Level 5: RC-XD
* Level 7: M8A1
* Level 8: UAV
* Level 10: Dravec 45
* Level 11: HKDs
* Level 13: A.R.C. M1 launcher, Active Camo
* Level 16: Peacekeeper MK1, Gravemaker
* Level 20: VTOL Warship Scorestreak, Gunfighter wildcard
Cosmetic rewards are included as well, such as the “Beta Player” emblem at Level 2 and the “Beta Maverick” Operator Skin at Level 20. Augments available in the beta are limited; Treyarch noted that the complete set of 192, along with 66 new additions, will be introduced at launch.
The developer outlined several technical issues in the current test version:
* Overclock unlocks showing inconsistent results
* Incorrect “Max Level” display at Level 10
* Gravemaker Scorestreak occasionally persisting after expiration
* Party player information causing a UI reset
* Non-host players unable to exit two-person parties
Treyarch said that fixes will be rolled out progressively during the beta and further adjustments will be made prior to release.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is scheduled to arrive globally on November 14. The testing period ahead of release is designed to fine-tune balance, features and technical performance based on player participation.
