Sony on Tuesday rolled out its latest premium smart TV lineup, the Bravia 8 II series, in India. The models, equipped with QD-QLED display technology and powered by Sony's XR processor, are now available in 55-inch and 65-inch screen sizes.
These televisions support IMAX Enhanced certification and incorporate Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos formats. With Acoustic Surface Audio+ tech, audio is emitted directly from the screen using actuators that generate sound through panel vibrations, supplemented by subwoofers to deliver deeper bass.
The Bravia 8 II lineup includes access to Sony Pictures Core, which offers a selection of Sony Pictures films in 4K HDR quality, including IMAX enhanced content.
Sony has also fine-tuned these TVs for console users. Features tailored for PlayStation 5 include Auto HDR Tone Mapping, Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM), 4K at 120 frames per second, and Variable Refresh Rate (VRR). When connected to a PS5 console, the TV automatically activates Game Mode to reduce input lag.
Pricing starts at Rs 2,46,990 for the 55-inch model and Rs 3,41,990 for the 65-inch variant. The Bravia 8 II series is currently available through Sony Centers.
