Activision has lifted the curtain on the multiplayer segment of the highly anticipated Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, providing gamers with a comprehensive look at maps, gameplay modes, and new features ahead of the official release on November 14. Early access to the beta will begin October 2 for pre-order customers, while the open beta for all players will start October 5.

The game will feature a total of 18 multiplayer maps at launch. Sixteen of these are standard 6v6 arenas, complemented by two large-scale 20v20 Skirmish maps designed for expansive combat scenarios. Map layouts range from compact, action-packed spaces to larger, strategic environments encouraging tactical gameplay.

Among the maps are Blackheart, Cortex, Exposure, Imprint, The Forge, Toshin, Colossus, Den, Flagship, Homestead, Paranoia, Retrieval, and Scar. Fan favorites from Black Ops 2, including Express, Hijacked, and Raid, are also making a return. The Skirmish maps—Mission: Edge and Mission: Tide—feature vehicles, wingsuits, and objective-driven action, offering a varied combat experience beyond traditional multiplayer.

Classic modes such as Team Deathmatch, Domination, Kill Confirmed, and Hardpoint will be available, alongside a fresh 6v6 mode named Overload, where teams compete to control a critical device. Skirmish engagements and familiar game types like Search and Destroy, Gunfight, Free-For-All, Kill Order, and Control will also be part of both the beta and full release.

Black Ops 7 introduces several new mechanics, including the Overclock system, upgraded perks and field upgrades, as well as advanced movement options such as wall jumps and tactical sprint. Multiplayer customization remains extensive, featuring a wide range of weapons, loadouts, scorestreaks, and operators.

Players who pre-order the title can join the early beta starting October 2. The open beta for all gamers will begin October 5, providing a chance to explore the new maps, modes, and features ahead of the official November 14 launch.
