Electronic Arts and DICE have confirmed extensive post-launch updates for Battlefield 6, outlining a detailed Season 1 roadmap. The developers plan to roll out fresh maps, modes, vehicles, and weapons every few weeks through December, with the first season lasting two months.
The content rollout begins this month, featuring three major updates: Rogue Ops on October 28, California Resistance on November 18, and Winter Offensive closing the season later in December. Each update introduces distinct locations, tactical modes, and new armaments to expand the battlefield experience.
October 28 — Rogue Ops Update
Map: Blackwell Fields
Set within a reactivated U.S. airbase in California’s desert region, Blackwell Fields supports full-scale vehicle warfare, from tanks to aircraft.
Mode: Strikepoint
Strikepoint introduces round-based squad battles where teams fight to secure critical objectives. Each player gets one life per round, heightening the tactical pressure.
Vehicle: Traverser Mark 2
A new four-seat armored carrier, the Traverser Mark 2, is built for infantry support, featuring one driver, one gunner, and two side-mounted shooters.
Weapons and Attachments:
* SOR-300C: A .300 Blackout subcompact carbine suited for mid-range fights.
* GGH-22: A rapid-fire sidearm designed as a backup in close encounters.
* Mini Fix A compact bolt-action rifle tailored for Recon players.
* Rail Cover & LPVO: Two attachment upgrades available for select rifles and LMGs, enhancing weapon customization options.
November 18 — California Resistance Update
Map: Eastwood
Combat shifts to an upscale Californian suburb. This battlefield enables all vehicle types, including tanks and helicopters, adding urban warfare dynamics.
Mode: Sabotage
Teams of eight compete to destroy or defend multiple bomb sites in timed rounds. Offense and defense alternate per round, with the team scoring more detonations taking victory.
Feature: Battle Pickups
Classic Battle Pickups return, offering temporary access to high-power weapons scattered across the map.
Weapons and Attachment:
* DB-12: A dual-barrel pump-action shotgun firing from alternating tubes.
* M357 Trait: A powerful revolver effective at short range but with slower fire rate.
* Troy Angled Grip: A new attachment option that enhances weapon stability and handling.
December — Winter Offensive Update
Map: Ice Lock Empire State
Empire State transforms into a snow-covered battleground, featuring frozen lakes and ice-coated streets for the holiday-themed update.
Event: Ice Lock
A time-limited event introducing the “Freeze” mechanic, active only in certain experiences, adds new strategic layers to gameplay.
Weapon: Ice Climbing Axe
A melee weapon serving both as a combat tool and an environmental accessory for specific map interactions.
With Season 1 scheduled through December, Battlefield 6 players can expect consistent new additions across multiplayer and seasonal events. The next roadmap for Season 2 is expected to be revealed early next year.
