EA is preparing to host the Battlefield 6 Open Beta in two testing phases this month, scheduled from August 9 to 10 and August 14 to 17. PC gamers interested in participating must ensure their systems meet specific technical specifications before joining the battlefield.
Electronic Arts has confirmed that players can access the open beta during two separate weekends in August. These sessions will offer early access to in-game mechanics, map design, and performance insights prior to the official launch. The beta is free for all eligible PC users.
To run the beta on PC, a machine must feature at least an Intel Core i5-8400 or AMD Ryzen 5 2600 processor, 16GB of dual-channel RAM (2133 MHz), and a graphics card such as the NVIDIA RTX 2060, AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT, or Intel Arc A380 with a minimum of 6GB video memory.
Additionally, players will require:
* Windows 10 OS
* DirectX 12 support
* 75 GB of HDD storage
The game is designed to deliver 30 frames per second at 1080p resolution when run under low graphical settings, provided the minimum requirements are fulfilled.
Security features also play a crucial role. The system must support:
* TPM 2.0
* UEFI Secure Boot
* HVCI and VBS compatibility
These are necessary due to Battlefield 6’s kernel-level anti-cheat enforcement, which mandates system-level integrity checks.
Gamers using PCs assembled over the past four to five years may still qualify for participation. The entry-level hardware support makes the beta accessible to those with mid-range builds running Windows 10 and equipped with older-generation GPUs like the RTX 2060 or Radeon RX 5600 XT.
For smoother gameplay and higher fidelity, EA suggests more advanced components. Recommended specifications include an Intel Core i7-10700 or AMD Ryzen 7 3700X CPU, 16GB RAM (3200 MHz), and a graphics unit like the NVIDIA RTX 3060 Ti, AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT, or Intel Arc B580, each offering 8GB video memory.
Storage should be upgraded to a 75GB SSD, and the game supports 1440p resolution at 60 FPS on high settings, and 1080p resolution at 80+ FPS on performance mode.
The same security requirements from the minimum spec list apply here as well. Players should prepare their systems ahead of the scheduled beta sessions.
