Hyderabad: Amazon Web Services (AWS) has announced the expansion of its AWS Marketplace in India, enabling customers and partners to conduct transactions in Indian Rupees (INR). The move will allow India-based software providers and consulting partners to list, sell, and bill for their offerings locally, simplifying tax compliance and accelerating technology adoption across the country’s fast-growing digital economy. With this expansion, Indian enterprises can now purchase software and services from both global and domestic technology providers directly in INR, benefiting from local invoicing and payment options. Among the participating sellers are Cisco, CrowdStrike, Deloitte, eMudhra, Freshworks, Gupshup.ai, IBM, Kore.ai, Palo Alto Networks, Redington, Salesforce, Sarvam, Sonata Software, and VideoCX.io.
AWS Marketplace currently hosts more than 30,000 transactable listings across over 70 software categories, including Security, Agentic AI & Tools, DevOps, and Data & Analytics. Indian customers such as Observe.AI, Swiggy, and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) already use the platform to simplify procurement, improve governance, and enhance cost transparency.“India’s rapidly growing digital economy demands procurement solutions that match the pace of innovation, especially as organizations accelerate their AI adoption,” said Ruba Borno, Vice President, Global Specialists & Partners, AWS.
