Apple has made a formal announcement about its latest MacBook Pro and iPad Pro models, which come with the new M5 chipset that will be the main focus of enhanced AI functionality and divine battery life. In India, pre-orders for these products are now accepted, and the delivery is expected to start on October 22.
The new MacBook Pro and iPad Pro iterations are still very much Apple products in terms of design, but they offer much more power and have incorporated AI into their functionalities. The two new products target professionals, students, and content creators who want blazing fast computing and top-notch graphics support.
The policy regarding the pricing has not changed and it is the same as the strategy used last year. The cost of the 14-inch MacBook Pro with 16GB of unified memory and 512GB of storage is Rs 1,69,900. By taking advantage of the education discount offered by Apple, students, and educators can buy it for Rs 1,59,900. The maximum-spec model that boasts 32GB of unified memory and 1TB storage is available for Rs 2,89,900.
At this point in time, Apple has not publicly revealed the specs for M5 Pro or M5 Max versions of the MacBook Pro but rumors say that those models will be released late this year.
Buyers can choose the M5 iPad Pro in 11-inch and 13-inch sizes both of which have Ultra Retina XDR displays. The 11-inch Wi-Fi version with 256GB of storage starts at Rs 99,900 for the general public and the price for students is Rs89,900. The Wi-Fi + Cellular version is priced at Rs 1,19,900. The one who can afford it will pay Rs 2,19,900 for the 2TB 11-inch iPad Pro with nano-texture glass and the highest storage and premium display.
The M5 lineup from Apple is meant to be a strong competitor in the area of performance laptops and tablets, mainly aiming at users that need powerful computing for AI applications, video editing, and professional workflows. Prices are set according to the previous year's models and this is seen as a positive impact on the accessibility of the devices for students and professionals.
Customers can already place their orders on the official Apple India website and through approved resellers. The shipping date is set to be October 22, 2025, and the stock is likely to be available initially in large urban areas including Hyderabad, Mumbai, Bangalore, and Delhi.
