Apple is set to unveil its highly anticipated iPhone SE4 on February 19, 2025, marking the first update to its budget-friendly SE series in three years. The new model is expected to bring significant upgrades, making it a game-changer for Apple’s product lineup.

What to Expect from iPhone SE4?

The iPhone SE4 is rumored to feature a 6.1-inch OLED display with Face ID, moving away from the traditional home button. Its design is likely to resemble the iPhone 14, featuring a larger screen and a notch.

Performance-wise, the SE4 may come equipped with Apple’s A18 processor, the same chip expected in the upcoming iPhone 16 series. There's also speculation that Apple Intelligence (AI-powered features) could be integrated into this model. RAM is expected to jump from 3GB in the SE3 to 8GB in the SE4, with a base storage of 128GB. While Apple hasn’t confirmed the price, estimates suggest it may launch around ₹50,000.

Apple Aims for 12 Million Shipments in First Half of 2025

Renowned Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicts that Apple will ship 12 million iPhone SE4 units in the first half of 2025 and another 10 million in the latter half, bringing total sales to around 22 million units for the year. While this number is lower than flagship iPhone sales, it will help Apple stabilize shipments during slower sales periods.

Apple vs. Qualcomm – A Big Shift in Modems

One of the biggest changes with the iPhone SE4 is Apple’s transition to its in-house modem, reducing its reliance on Qualcomm, which has supplied modems for years. This move aligns with Apple’s long-term strategy of gaining more control over its hardware. However, tensions may arise between the two companies, as Qualcomm could demand licensing fees for its patented modem technology.

With the SE4 launch, Apple is not only expanding its budget iPhone lineup but also reinforcing its push into AI-driven technology and self-reliant hardware development. All eyes are now on February 19 to see how this latest addition will shape Apple’s future.
