Apple Reportedly Developing WALL-E-Like Tabletop AI Robot for 2027 Launch
Apple is reportedly developing a WALL-E-like tabletop AI robot with next-gen Siri, aiming for a 2027 release, alongside new smart devices and security tech.
Apple may launch a WALL-E-style tabletop AI robot by 2027, featuring conversational Siri and advanced automation.

Apple is reportedly working on a futuristic WALL-E-inspired tabletop robot equipped with an arm, natural language understanding, and the much-anticipated AI-powered version of Siri. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the robot could debut by 2027 as the centerpiece of Apple’s AI strategy.
The device is said to resemble an iPad mounted on a movable, swiveling limb capable of tracking and repositioning itself to follow people in a room. It may also support FaceTime calls and feature a next-gen Siri that can join multi-person conversations and recall past interactions.
Apple is also considering giving Siri an animated Finder logo to make interactions more engaging, though its final design is undecided.
Alongside the robot, Apple is reportedly working on:
A smart display speaker, potentially a future HomePod variant
Advanced AI-powered security cameras (codenamed J450) with facial recognition, infrared sensors, and automation features like adjusting lights or music based on who is present
The upcoming AI upgrade for Siri — internally codenamed LLM Siri — will run on Apple’s own large language model “Linwood” along with external technology “Glenwood.” This conversational Siri will be able to execute tasks through natural language commands while tapping into personal data for contextual accuracy.
The LLM Siri is expected to roll out by spring 2026, with reports suggesting Apple is currently testing Anthropic’s Claude as part of its AI experiments.
If launched as planned, Apple’s tabletop robot could redefine personal AI assistants — turning them from static devices into interactive companions.
