With the launch of iOS 26.2, Apple Music users are now able to experience a more flexible listening option. The new update has brought in a variety of remarkable features that are meant to make it easier for people to use and more accessible to them, such as the offline display of lyrics.

It doesn’t matter if the user is on a plane, at a concert, or in a place with poor coverage; they can still enjoy the lyrics of their downloaded songs and be able to sing along without an internet connection. Songs that have been downloaded after the iOS 26.2 update will automatically show offline lyrics, while the older ones can simply be re-downloaded to fix the visibility problem.

Moreover, the update has simplified the process of gaining access to songs that are played most often. The Favourite Songs playlist has now been moved to the Top Picks area on the main screen of Apple Music, so going through several menus to reach it has been abolished. This modification has given listeners the opportunity to find and play their favorite songs in no time.

Apple’s addition of new functionalities has not only made its platform more user-friendly in terms of offline access but also put it ahead of rival music streaming services like Spotify. With Apple Music, users can enjoy lyrics just as smoothly as with regular songs, without any extra configuration.

The earlier iOS 26 modifications included the “Liquid Glass” design which offered a more interactive interface. Users of the app can feel more in control of the music as the responsiveness of the controls has increased, the transitions have become less noticeable, and they can even swipe directly between tracks from the mini player. Menus now respond dynamically to the users' interactions, making the whole experience much smoother.

Furthermore, the update enhances the scope of music across the globe. Lyrics Translation allows the real-time translations of foreign-language songs, while Lyrics Pronunciation gives the user the correct way to sing. Users can now easily mark their favourite songs, albums, artists, and playlists and keep them at the top of the library, and if you now have a song with an animated cover, it can take over your Lock Screen for a very captivating visual experience.

Among the new features, there are new Apple Music widgets and AutoMix, a function that mixes songs for transitions without interruptions, imitating a DJ-style effect. Reception of AutoMix might differ from listener to listener, but it certainly gives people a new way of hearing their playlists.

Apple Music, with iOS 26.2, ups its game as a platform that takes great care of users and offers them the best and most modern ways to listen to music. The new features are available to the users right after they update their devices.
