Apple Leak Reveals Foldable iPhone, AirTag 2, and New Mac Plans

A recent leak from an early iOS 26 build presents a sneak peek of Apple's new devices, such as a folding iPhone and a second-gen AirTag. The device was initially given to developers for beta-testing and later passed to researchers running an early version of iOS.
According to the leak, which MacRumors reported, there are plenty of unreleased devices with internal codenames, revealing the detail of Apple's development pipeline. Even though the company has not made the information public, the papers indicate that it is working on smartphones, Macs, tablets, wearables, and home accessories.
Developing Devices
The leak has unveiled several areas of development:
Tracking: The launch of AirTag 2 (B589) is predicted for 2026.
Home Devices: The next-generation Apple TV (J355), two home hubs (J490, J491), and HomePod mini 2 (B525) are part of the upcoming products list.
Displays: Apple Studio Display 2 (J427, J527) might be launched in 2026 or later.
Tablets: New entry-level iPads (J581, J582) and M4 chip iPad Air (J707, J708; J737, J738) are to be available in 11-inch and 13-inch sizes, respectively.
Phones: The list of phones includes iPhone 17e (V159), iPhone Air 2 (V62), iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max (V63, V64), and a foldable iPhone (V68). The launch dates are between 2026 and later.
Macs: The plan includes a budget MacBook with A18 Pro (J700), MacBook Air with M5 (J813, J815) and MacBook Pro with M5 Pro and Max (J714c, J714s, J716c, J716s), and Mac mini and Mac Studio with M5, M5 Max, or Ultra (J873g, J873s, J775c, J775d), among other things.
Wearables: Vision Air headset (N100), second-generation Vision Pro (N109), AI-enabled smart glasses (N401), Apple Watch Series 12 (N237, N238), and Apple Watch Ultra 4 (N240) are all in the pipeline at Apple.
The listing signifies that Apple's foldable iPhone is already in the works, and it is preparing to enter the market where other brands have already established their presence. AirTag 2 is also one of the products in the pipeline, but nothing regarding its specs and release has been disclosed yet.
The plan looks like it covers a variety of home gadgets and accessories, in addition to smartphones and tablets. Apple TV, HomePod mini 2, and two categories of home hubs are listed along with the robots that the company is experimenting with. The tablet range will be updated with new basic iPads and iPad Air models, which will be available in Wi-Fi and cellular connectivity.
The leaked roadmap is dominated by Mac computers. Future MacBook, MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, Mac mini, and Mac Studio models with M5 and M6 processors are planned in several numbers. Wearables indicate upgraded Vision Pro headsets, lightweight Vision Air units, and AI-powered smart glasses.
The leak gives a glimpse of the company's new chip designs, which will include the new M-series, A-series, and S-series processors, as well as the new Ultra Wideband chip. While some products might be available to consumers by 2026, Apple's strategy may change, and some devices may get postponed or even canceled while being developed.
