Apple Leak: iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max Prices May Shock Buyers

Apple will hold its “Awe Dropping” launch event on September 9, where the iPhone 17 series is expected to headline the announcements. Market research firm TrendForce has released new projections that point to stable pricing for the base model but increases across the higher-end versions.
The iPhone 17 is expected to debut at $799, roughly Rs 70,500, with 128GB of storage. Two additional options are projected at $899 for 256GB and $1,099 for 512GB.
The iPhone 17 Pro is anticipated to start at $1,199, or about Rs 1,05,800, with 256GB storage. This would place it $200 above the starting price of the iPhone 16 Pro but with double the base storage. TrendForce expects further pricing at $1,399 for 512GB and $1,599 for 1TB.
The iPhone 17 Pro Max may open at $1,299, nearly Rs 1,14,700, for the 256GB variant. Higher storage tiers are estimated at $1,499 for 512GB and $1,699 for 1TB, positioning the top-end model above the previous year’s equivalent.
Another new option, the iPhone 17 Air, is forecast to replace the iPhone 16 Plus. It is likely to begin at $1,099, close to Rs 97,000, for 256GB storage, with upper versions reaching $1,499 for 1TB.
The lineup is also expected to include the iPhone 17e, which could arrive at around Rs 64,900 for 128GB.
TrendForce’s projections suggest Apple will keep its standard iPhone 17 at last year’s entry price while moving the Pro and Air models into higher ranges with larger base storage.
Apple is scheduled to confirm the final lineup and prices on September 9. The event may also feature updates to the Apple Watch and a new generation of AirPods Pro.
