In Saket mall of Delhi, the crowd started milling about in the wee hours; many waited through the night to claim their turn. This picture nearly replicated in Mumbai, where the BKC Jio Centre flagship store of Apple drew heavy footfall and high energy.

However, the launch day celebrations soured when some customers got into a scuffle outside the BKC store. Security had to step in and restore order after a brief scuffle stopped the queue.

For many, it was worth the wait. "I come all the way from Ahmedabad. I have been waiting since 5 am," shared the proud buyer holding the new iPhone 17, Manoj.
