Apple iCloud services resume after hours-long outage affecting Mail, Photos, and other apps.

Apple users faced a widespread iCloud outage in the early hours of June 25, affecting several key services such as iCloud Mail, Photos, Find My, iCloud Drive, and Web Apps. The disruption began around 12:00 AM IST and lasted until approximately 4:30 AM IST, as per Apple's system status page. The company has since confirmed that all iCloud-related services are now fully operational across the globe.
According to outage-tracking platform Downdetector, there was a significant spike in user reports around 1:00 AM IST. Among these, 50% of complaints were related to iCloud Mail, 44% involved difficulties accessing files on iCloud Drive, and 6% were about sign-in problems with iCloud accounts.
Many users took to X (formerly Twitter) to report service issues. Some encountered error messages like "There was a problem loading this content" while accessing iCloud Drive, while others were unable to log in via the web or Apple’s native apps even when Apple’s status dashboard displayed all services as active.
Though Apple has not yet disclosed the cause of the outage, the company has updated its system status page to reflect that all impacted services have been restored.
