New Delhi: The US-India partnership has a critical role to play in ensuring the benefits of artificial intelligence reach everyone, everywhere, said Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google and its parent Alphabet Inc, on Friday.
Speaking at the AI Impact Summit, ahead of India and the US signing the Pax Silica declaration, Pichai said the agreement, alongside the recent interim trade deal, would lay the foundation for a strong and enduring technology partnership between the two countries. “The US-India partnership has a critical role to play in making the benefits of AI available to everyone and everywhere,” he said, noting that the world is on the cusp of an era of “hyper-progress and new discoveries,” though positive outcomes are not guaranteed without collaboration. Pichai said the Pax Silica initiative focuses on safety, security and expanding commercial partnerships across key technologies.
