Yahoo launches AI-powered MyScout homepage built on Yahoo Scout answer engine, offering personalized news, finance, email, weather and sports updates in one dashboard.
Yahoo introduces AI-powered personalized homepage

Yahoo has introduced MyScout, a personalized homepage powered by its AI answer engine Yahoo Scout, allowing users to customize news, finance data, emails, weather and sports updates in one dynamic dashboard.
Yahoo has unveiled a new AI-powered personalized homepage called MyScout, built on its artificial intelligence answer engine Yahoo Scout. The feature is designed to provide users with a customized digital hub where they can access news, financial updates, emails, weather information and other daily content in one place.
According to the company, MyScout is the first personalized homepage powered by an AI-driven answer engine, aiming to transform how users interact with online information.
Expansion of the Yahoo Scout Ecosystem
The new homepage builds on the Yahoo Scout platform, which debuted earlier in January 2026 as a standalone app and website. Yahoo had already announced plans to expand the AI technology across its wider ecosystem of consumer platforms.
These include popular services such as Yahoo Finance, Yahoo Sports, Yahoo News, and Yahoo Mail.
With MyScout, Yahoo is aiming to create a central digital gateway where users can interact with content across these platforms seamlessly.
A Personalized Daily Dashboard
The MyScout homepage allows users to create a dynamic and customizable experience tailored to their interests and daily habits. Logged-in users can arrange various information tiles on their homepage to access the content that matters most to them.
For example, users can include real-time stock data from Yahoo Finance, breaking news headlines from Yahoo News, or sports updates from their favorite teams. The system allows individuals to design a personalized dashboard that updates continuously throughout the day.
Users can also integrate their Yahoo Mail accounts directly into the homepage, enabling them to view incoming messages without opening a separate tab.
Access to Daily Essentials
Beyond news and financial updates, the MyScout homepage can display essential daily information such as local weather forecasts, sports scores, and trending stories.
Some sections will refresh automatically, offering regularly updated content including product recommendations, horoscope predictions and online games.
The AI engine behind Scout helps organise this information in a way that adapts to the user’s behaviour and interests over time.
Gradual Rollout Strategy
According to Eric Feng, Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Yahoo Research Group, the company is initially launching MyScout as an opt-in feature rather than a standalone app.
The feature will be integrated within Yahoo Scout and Yahoo Search, allowing users to gradually become familiar with the personalized interface.
Yahoo plans to expand the system further and introduce more automated and AI-driven capabilities as users adopt the platform.
Part of Yahoo’s Digital Reinvention
The launch comes as part of Yahoo’s broader effort to modernize its digital products. The company has been undergoing a transformation since it was acquired by Apollo Global Management in 2021.
In recent years, Yahoo has focused on updating its core platforms and improving the overall search experience for users.
Company executives say search continues to be one of Yahoo’s largest and most profitable revenue sources, making it a key area of investment as the company evolves in the era of artificial intelligence.
By integrating AI-driven personalization directly into its homepage, Yahoo aims to position MyScout as a modern gateway to the internet, echoing the company’s origins as one of the earliest web navigation and search platforms.
