Meet Opera Neon: The Browser That Builds Games and Websites Using AI

Opera unveiled its new browser, Opera Neon, on Tuesday. Designed to streamline AI workflows, the browser aims to handle tasks on behalf of users, such as online shopping, form-filling, and coding. According to sources, users will require an Opera Neon subscription to use it once it is released, as it is currently behind a waitlist. The price details have not been disclosed yet.
Opera Neon introduces several new features, including three buttons on its sidebar: Chat, Do, and Make. The Chat button lets users search the web, ask questions, and request additional information about the pages they're viewing. The Do button leverages Opera’s Browser Operator AI agent—first announced in March—which is designed to perform tasks such as filling out forms or managing travel bookings directly within the browser.
As Opera reported, the Make option helps in games creation, website development, code generation, reports and more using text prompts. The company states that the Make feature is powered by AI workflows running on a virtual machine in the cloud. Therefore Neon will be able to work on tasks independently, even if the user goes offline, and it can run multiple tasks simultaneously.
All of this looks very fascinating, but AI apps sometimes fail to perform as expected. Moreover, there are many AI apps in the market that are working on AI agents for browsers, not just Opera .
