Google is expanding access to Veo 3, its AI-powered video generation model, to Google AI Pro subscribers. Previously reserved for Ultra Plan users, Veo 3 can now be accessed via Flow—Google’s AI filmmaking platform—and the Gemini mobile app.
Introduced at Google I/O last month, Veo 3 generates synchronized audio and visuals from text or image prompts. In markets where the Ultra Plan is offered, AI Pro subscribers will receive limited Flow access to Veo 3 along with a 10-pack of trial video generations in the Gemini app. Ultra Plan customers maintain higher generation quotas. Google will alert users as they near their generation limits and display the remaining number of generations.
Although Pro-tier Veo 3 access is formally restricted to regions covered by the Ultra Plan—and India is not yet included—some users in India report seeing the Veo 3 option appear in the Gemini app. That suggests Google may soon roll out official support in the country.
Videos created with Veo 3 in the Gemini app run eight seconds in length and include audio. To generate a video, users must open Gemini on a mobile device, confirm an active AI Pro or Ultra subscription, enter a prompt in the text field, tap More > Video > Submit, and wait for processing. Once complete, tapping the thumbnail and selecting Download saves the clip to the device.
Veo 3 builds on earlier versions by interpreting both text and image prompts, applying real-world physics, and producing accurate lip sync. Google says users can embed a brief narrative in a prompt, and Veo 3 will return a matching video clip that aligns with the described scenario.
Beyond Gemini, Veo 3 powers Flow, where subscribers can generate 1080p videos, adjust virtual camera settings, extend existing footage, and refine results through iterative prompting. Google indicated that Flow users in eligible regions can now tap into Veo 3’s capabilities without upgrading to the Ultra Plan.
