At its Adobe MAX 2025 conference, Adobe introduced a fresh batch of experimental AI tools—known as “Sneaks”—that aim to redefine how creators edit videos, photos, and audio. These innovations can remove unwanted objects from videos, magically light up rooms, or even fix audio mistakes — all with minimal effort.

The newly revealed tools include Project Frame Forward, Project Light Touch, and Project Clean Take, each focused on simplifying complex creative workflows using advanced generative AI.

Project Frame Forward: AI That Edits Entire Videos Automatically

Video editors can now say goodbye to frame-by-frame masking. Project Frame Forward lets users remove or add objects or people from a video clip with a single click.

For example, you can delete someone from a shot, fill in the background seamlessly, or add new elements using text prompts like “add a dog” or “place a table.”

The tool maintains consistency across all frames, functioning much like Photoshop’s Content-Aware Fill, but for video.

Project Light Touch: Transform Lighting Like Magic

Project Light Touch is a dream come true for photographers and designers. It allows users to manipulate light direction, intensity, and color in real time.

You can make lamps appear switched on, drag light sources around a room, or even change a photo from day to night. It also enables creative lighting effects, such as glowing highlights or cinematic color tones — giving creators total control over illumination.

Project Clean Take: AI Fixes Audio Mistakes Effortlessly

Audio editors get a powerful assistant with Project Clean Take. The tool can fix mispronounced words, change vocal tones, and replace specific words without re-recording. It can also separate background noise and enhance voice clarity automatically — perfect for podcasts, films, and professional recordings.

Other AI Experiments in Adobe Labs

Alongside these major Sneaks, Adobe previewed several other groundbreaking experiments:

Project Surface Swap: Replaces textures or materials (like turning wood floors into marble) while keeping lighting natural.

Project Trace Erase: Erases objects along with shadows and reflections for flawless removal.

Project New Depths: Introduces 3D depth control in photo editing, letting users reshape elements in real space.

Project Scene It: Helps creators design detailed 3D scenes while maintaining consistent artistic style.

Project Motion Map: Brings static vector graphics to life by automatically adding natural motion.

Project Sound Stager: Uses AI to compose soundscapes based on a video’s mood and pacing, even allowing chat-based sound editing.

What’s Next for Adobe’s AI Tools?

While these tools are still experimental, Adobe’s history shows that many Sneaks often evolve into real products. Past innovations like Photoshop’s “Harmonize” and “Distraction Removal” began as Sneaks before becoming mainstream Creative Cloud features.

With the rapid evolution of Adobe Firefly, Premiere Pro’s AI assistant, and Acrobat Studio’s AI-powered features, these new tools signal Adobe’s mission to make professional editing faster, smarter, and more intuitive.
